We are looking for a talented and motivated urban planning intern to join our 2019 internship program. This opportunity is open to current undergraduate and postgraduate students.

People Place and Partnership is a boutique place change agency with over 13 years experience in place planning, placemaking, engagement, strategy and facilitation.

With our clients, we create and implement masterplans, strategic plans, activation plans, communication and engagement frameworks, training programs and governance frameworks. We work in interactive and dynamic ways, aligning closely with stakeholders within their local setting to achieve significant social, cultural, economic and environmental outcomes. Our extensive experience involves working alongside state and local government, private sector companies, small business, communities, stakeholders and a wide range of specialist consultants.

Alongside our masterplanning work, is a depth of projects within strategic planning and policy reform. We are a multi-disciplinary team lead by strategic innovator Jo Kelly who is highly regarded for her facilitation, policy reform and place activation work. Our team is dynamic and results-driven. We share a commitment to helping communities to create great places, leading to outstanding outcomes and award-winning projects.
You will be part of an innovative team working on some of Sydney’s most crucial City-Shaping Projects both in the heart of Sydney and Western Sydney. This adaptive role will involve assistance on planning projects, field work, reporting, research, project documentation, community engagement, podcasting and creating best practice innovations in all project work. The right candidate will gain valuable industry experience and benefit from our passion for mentoring the next generation of place planners.
A successful candidate for this position will have:
You will be mentored by our leaders Jo Kelly and Libby Ozinga that have collectively 50 years of experience in urban and regional planning. They have worked for Local and State Government and led large regeneration programs. You will learn first hand the skills needed to be a strategic urban planner working with our Local, State and Private Sector Clients. You will be part of the team, be given your own responsibility and an ability to get your teeth into some once in a generation projects.
